EMRG 102 - ITLS Basic Provider

Course Description
The ITLS (International Trauma Life Support) Basic Provider course is designed specifically for healthcare providers who are the first to respond to trauma patients. Hands-on skills necessary for rapid assessment, resuscitation, treatment, stabilization and transportation of trauma patients are covered.

Technical Requirements
Course Requisite:

In lieu of meeting the course pre-requisites, graduates of an Alberta College of Paramedics approved Emergency Medical Responder program, or other allied health professionals holding suitable qualifications, will also be accepted.

Other Information:

Course textbook(s) and materials are not included in the course fee. Please contact the SAIT bookstore to purchase the course textbook(s).
This course includes both lecture and practical components. It is recommended that learners begin reviewing the course materials two to four weeks prior to the course start date.
For enrollment cancellation, SAIT requires a notice of at least 10 full business days prior to the course start date.
Administration fees and course materials are non-refundable.
