PWEN 228 - Second Class Power Engineering Course Description
For Alberta, Completion of Part A of this course is an equivalent to the minimum education required to write the Part A Government Exams. Completion of Part A & Part B, will provide you with up to 9 months’ credit in lieu of the 24 months needed for operating experience in a power plant. 6 Long Answer Final Examinations: 3.5 hours/each

- Part A1: Code Calculations and Legislation
- Part A2: Thermodynamics and Metallurgy

- Part B1: Prime Movers
- Part B2: Combustion and Plant Systems
- Part B3: Electricity and Refrigeration
