CMPN 006 - Cascading Style Sheets Course Description Cascading Style Sheets CSS is one of the main technologies at the heart of the Web. It is designed primarily to enable the separation of presentation and content including aspects such as the layout, colors, and fonts. The separation of HTML from CSS makes it easier to maintain sites, share style sheets across pages, and present the same markup page in different styles for different rendering methods, such as on-screen, in print, or by voice. Developers can also change the web page layout and styles depending on viewing device characteristics.
Through the use of hands-on projects, code samples, and screen shots, students will create style sheets in real world exercises and master the skills to create effective style sheets for the Web using both CSS2 and the newer CSS3 specifications. The course will also cover how to create transitions, animations and discuss responsive design as it pertains to mobile friendly website design.
