ENTR 001 - Start-Up Basics 1: Your Awesome Idea; Will It Fly?

Course Description
Every entrepreneur thinks they have the next great idea, but how can you be sure? This workshop brings you up close and personal with the real judge, the customer. Is there a market for your idea? Does your idea fulfill a need or want? Remember, all successful business ventures never succeeded with their original idea and often had to adapt based on customer and product feedback. In this workshop, you will utilize design thinking methodology to obtain your customers insight, while gaining an introductory understanding for the design thinking process. The workshop will also teach you how to identify opportunities, validate your own ideas and unleash your own creative and entrepreneurial thinking. The key to this workshop is the hands-on component which require one half day of the course to be spent outside of the classroom, interacting and learning from “live” subjects.
