SCMP 142 - Exploring Emergency Care (Gr. 7-12) Course Description Explore what is involved in the dynamic field of emergency medical care. Through a combination of theory and hands-on practical experience, learn the basics of anatomy and physiology, various systems of the human body and basic First Aid and CPR training. Also, take tours of an ambulance, fire truck, STARS facilities and experience what it’s like to be a 911 dispatcher.

DRESS CODE: All campers are required to wear closed-toe shoes with a good tread; no sandals or open-toe shoes permitted in the labs. Long pants are required to be worn in the lab; no shorts, capris or low-cut tops. Campers with long hair should ensure that they bring hair elastics to tie back their hair.
SAFETY NOTE: Campers are required to adhere to the safety precautions outlined by the instructors; safety infractions may lead to removal from the camp.
NOTE: This camp deals with graphic/sensitive material.
FIELD TRIP: Subject to availability.
- For youth entering grades 7 through 12 in September.
- Register using your child’s name.
- Registration for camp and lunch closes at 12:00pm (MST) on the Thursday before the camp begins. Late registrations will not be accepted.
- Camps run from 9:00am - 4:00pm.
