LIBR 280 - Collection Organization

Course Description
Find exactly what you need when you need it by learning how to organize your library materials. This collection organization course covers the basic elements of descriptive cataloguing and arrangement of the Dewey Decimal Classification System and Sears Subject Headings. You will also learn to use Cataloguing-in-Publication (CIP) data, apply the ALA filing rules and encode descriptive cataloguing in MARC.
