PWEN 224 - Power Engineering Third Class Part A and B
Course Description
For Alberta, Completion of Part A is equivalent to the education required to write A1 & A2 Exams. Completion of Part A & B will provide up to 6 months’ credit in lieu of the 12 months needed for operating experience. 4 Multiple Choice (A1, A2, B1, B2) Final Examinations/3.5 hours each.
This course covers the following 4 parts: (Each part has 15 chapters)
- Part A1: Applied Mechanics, Thermodynamics and Chemistry
- Part A2: Boilers Codes, Electrical and Instrumentation Theory
- Part B1: Pumps and Boilers
- Part B2: Prime Movers and Refrigeration
