SCMP 130 - Home Builder’s Design, For Girls (Gr. 7-12)

Course Description
From interior touches to room layout and flow, explore what it means to be an architect by designing your dream home. Model your dream design, inside and out, using the 3D computer modelling software, SketchUp™. Also, explore the fundamentals of design and look to the future with green building methods. Hands-on activities teach you the basics of residential framing and carpentry and the skills needed to turn drawings into reality. At the end of the camp, take home a model of your dream house.
Essential skills: Digital technology, Document use, Reading

NOTE: Basic computer skills required.

For youth entering grades 7 through 12 in September.
Register using your child’s name.
Registration for camp and lunch closes at 12:00pm (MST) on the Thursday before the camp begins. Late registrations will not be accepted.
Camps run from 9:00am - 4:00pm.
