SCMP 171 - Engineering Design and Innovation (Gr. 9-12) Course Description Have you ever wanted your ideas to come to life? In this three-week camp you will focus on skills related to the engineering design process starting from concept generation to prototype development. Use computer-aided design software to learn various sketching techniques and create your own 2 and 3-Dimensional models. You will be exposed to the latest technologies such as rapid prototyping, laser cutting, vacuum forming and more. Throughout the camp you will create a design portfolio and gain the skills needed to manage your own projects in the future.
Essential Skills: Digital technology, Thinking, Working with others
NOTE: Basic computer skills required.
- For youth entering grades 9 through 12 in September.
- This is a three-week camp.
- Register using your child’s name.
- Registration for camp and lunch closes at 12:00pm (MST) on the Thursday before the camp begins. Late registrations will not be accepted.
- Camps run from 9:00am - 4:00pm.
