MEDL 125 - Laboratory Results Correlation & Case Studies


Course Description
Laboratory Results Correlation & Case Studies emphasizes the role of the laboratory in the diagnosis and management of diseases. Focus is placed on how laboratory values correlate to diseases and disorders of various body systems. Learners will identify key discrepancies in laboratory test results as part of disease diagnosis and management. Case studies will be used to facilitate the integration of theory into practice and to demonstrate the relationship between laboratory departments, laboratory testing, and a clinical scenario.

This course addresses the entry level competencies identified in the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) National Competency Profile (NCP) - 2015.
