PETR 193 - Petroleum Industry Common Core
Course Description
Petroleum Industry Common Core is undertaken to provide the learner with the basic knowledge and understanding of the components of the Upstream production environment that will give a foundation for the choice of discipline areas in Operations, Electrical, Instrumentation or Mechanical in the Production Operations and Maintenance Technician Training Program. The Objectives cover Earth Sciences Geology and Environment, Basic Drilling and Safety, Reservoir Evaluation, Testing and Completions, Production Operations/Hydrocarbons and Business Needs (Flow Diagrams) and Utility Equipment.
