They must observe safety precautions to reduce the risk of exposure to dangerous chemical liquids and vapors. This modular training is also an excellent professional development opportunity for individuals working in various laboratory roles, who require an advanced understanding of selective aspects of oil and gas production, refining and pipeline operations.
Topics include:
Classification of Light Hydrocarbons, Introduction to Chemistry, Oil & Gas Compositions and Sales Specifications, Pressure, Emergency Shutdowns, Introductions to Temperature Measurement, SI Units, Units and Dimensions, Introduction to Fractionation, Sulphur - Introduction, Hydrocarbon Gas Sampling Methods, Hydrocarbon Liquid Sampling Methods, Sampling for Vapour Pressure of LPG, Sampling of Hydrocarbons, Sampling of Liquefied Petroleum Gases, API Gravity Determination, Emulsions, Oil Field Operations Overview, Fire Safety, Hydrogen Sulphide Safety, Portable Fire Extinguishers, Purging and Ventilating, Gas Hazards, Handling and Storage of Gases, Handling of Hydrocarbon Fluids, Handling Hazardous Wastes Safely, BTEX Health Hazards in the Workplace
