CAMP 198 - SuperStructures (Gr. 7-12) Course Description Take a look at what civil design and construction engineering is all about and discover the main concepts of engineering including forces, materials, placement, budgeting and form. Learn about the structural elements used in the construction of bridges, buildings, skyscrapers and roller coasters and how these elements are linked to design. You’ll get to design bridges and buildings using Lego building blocks, as well as other construction materials, and conduct testing on your structures to prove concepts.
Essential skills: Oral communication, Thinking, Working with others
- For youth entering grades 7 through 12 in September.
- Register using your child’s name.
- Registration for camp and lunch closes at 12:00pm (MST) on the Thursday before the camp begins. Late registrations will not be accepted.
- Camps run from 9:00am - 4:00pm.
