AUDI 004 - Sound Synthesis
Course Description
The Sound Synthesis course will teach you how to effectively program any hardware or software synthesizer, based on an understanding of the general concepts of sound synthesis, with the goal of enabling you to create and use custom sounds in your audio productions.
The course includes a general history of the evolution of synthesizers and electronic music. You will be taken step by step through each function of the synthesizer, gaining knowledge of operation and purpose for each section. You’ll use modulation sources and destinations to add complexity to sounds, then you’ll use the sounds that you’ve created to construct a short musical composition.
