CBMK 109 - Woodworking Techniques Course Description In Woodworking Techniques, you will learn about furniture design and how ergonomics affect the things we build. You will construct a small table with a solid laminated top, as well as leg and rail joinery. You will be able to personalize the table with different top profile options and leg and rail styles through your design choices.
For this project you will use the following techniques:
- Laminating solid stock for the legs and the table top
- Mortise and Tenon joinery for the leg and rail assembly
- Fastening the table top to allow for seasonal wood movement
The use of stains, topcoats and different finishing products and techniques will also be discussed.
