MOTR 118 - Motorcycle Maintenance

Course Description
This course acquaints the mature motorcycle owner with the standard service adjustments, minor repairs, maintenance and tune-up of motorcycles in general. Strictly geared to service aspects of the motorcycle, this course does not cover overhaul practices.

Instruction is split between lecture and practical demonstrations, including safe working practices, cooling systems, battery and electrical systems, brakes, lubrication systems, tire repairs and other primary service maintenance items with appropriate adjustments and settings. Emphasis will be placed on the student’s own areas of interest and typical problems encountered by the motorcyclist, as well as seasonal tips for care and storage of your motorcycle.

Knowledge of the owner’s manual is necessary and the student is requested to bring it to first class as well as their own motorcycle.
