CPNT 149 - Connecting Networks


Course Description
This course delves into Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies and network services required by converged applications in enterprise networks. We will use the Cisco Network Architecture to introduce integrated network services and explain how to select the appropriate device and technologies to meet network requirements.

Learn how to implement and configure common data line protocols and how to apply WAN security concepts, principles of traffic access control and addressing services. You’ll also learn how to detect, troubleshoot and correct common enterprise network implementation issues.

This course is offered in a hybrid learning environment. Students will be expected to do a considerable amount of work outside of the class using online resources. A significant portion of class time will be devoted to lab work and there will be additional lab time available on weekends.
