ENVS 003 - Renewable Energy Essentials

Course Description
This course is an introduction to renewable technologies with an emphasis in solar and wind while touching on a high level in biomass, hydro, and other alternative technologies. Real life scenarios on renewables applications are reviewed and challenged by the students with the help of guest speakers and tours. The overall regulatory context to implementing renewable projects in Canada, general technical components that will allow you to evaluate and compare renewable alternatives and associated technologies, as well as practical approaches to implement renewables in several contexts, will also be covered.
