ENGL 101 - English Language Readiness
Course Description
This course is based on the descriptors and performance indicators of Canadian Language Benchmark 2. It is designed to advance the foundational skills necessary to enter into English Language Readiness II (ENGL 102/Canadian Language Benchmark 3).
The course integrates 7 language skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking, grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation). Topics are related to community, school and work settings, so that you can begin to develop the language you need for effective communication in English-speaking, multicultural contexts.
