CNTR 219 - Introduction to Fire Alarm Detection Systems - CFAA Course Description This course is Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) certified and provides an introduction and general understanding of fire alarm detection and protection systems. We’ll discuss the purpose and specific applications of the different codes and standards that regulate the industry.
You’ll learn about architectural considerations regarding fire containment, while gaining knowledge about inspection and testing procedures, testing methods, and how listed or approved materials achieve greater degrees of life safety.
Other fire alarm training topics include: the nature of fire, extinguishment methods, fire alarm testing methods, interpretation of drawings, specifications and other contract documents.
