CMPP 192 - Oracle Database: Programming PL/SQL Course Description This course provides an introduction to Oracle’s Procedural Language/Structured Query Language (PL/SQL) and illustrates the benefits of this powerful programming language. Demonstrations and hands-on practice reinforce the fundamental concepts covered.
In class you will learn to create PL/SQL blocks of application code that can be shared by multiple forms, reports, and data management applications. While creating anonymous PL/SQL blocks, stored procedures, and functions, you will also learn about declaring variables and trapping exceptions.
Additional PL/SQL topics covered include: how to develop stored procedures, functions, packages, database triggers, how to manage PL/SQL program units, manage dependencies, manipulate large objects, and use some of the Oracle-supplied packages. You will become familiar with SQL Developer to develop these program units.
