ORGB 106 - Recruitment and Selection Course Description This course will introduce you to the techniques and practices of recruitment and selection during the hiring process and the distinction between the two. You’ll examine the form, function, purpose and impact these specialized areas of human resources have on business in the new millennium.
Training will focus on behavioural-based interviewing and how to design and execute effective, targeted questions to ensure you make the best hiring decisions. We’ll examine the role of resumes and proper reference checks and analyze the strategic importance of successful hiring techniques for your organization. We will also discuss the human rights and legal issues affecting recruitment and selection. Case studies and other practical exercises will be used throughout.
