PNTG 001 - Application of Automotive Primers and Topcoats
Course Description
This refinishing course for automotive enthusiasts will show you the application of automotive primers and topcoats. We’ll cover safety, paint stripping, basic surface preparation, undercoat/top coat application and spray gun techniques.
- Remove existing paint for panels using approved products.
- Prepare and apply primer/surfacer and complete topcoat application of single stage and base coat clear.
Note: This is a refinishing course with no metal repair, filling or patching of rust.
No automobiles are accepted as projects.
Students are required to bring safety glasses, closed-toed shoes and coveralls (mandatory).
