CMPP 001 - Introduction to JavaScript and jQuery

Course Description
This web developer course introduces JavaScript and the widely popular open source JavaScript library, jQuery – two powerful web technologies used to provide a greater level of interactivity to websites.

Learn JavaScript syntax and programming terminology in order to understand important concepts such as variables, iterative statements, and manipulating the Document Object Model (DOM), each crucial in developing modern websites.

You will also learn how to create rollovers, add and remove HTML elements on a webpage, interact with Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), validate form fields and more. We will look at jQuery and demonstrate how to include it in webpages and utilize its Application Programming Interface (API).
