LBIM 120 - Value Stream Mapping Course Description Value stream mapping has been described as a blueprint for Lean transformation. This tool creates an improved visibility of waste and opportunity amidst the clutter of activity in the current state. In this Lean Thinking course you will evaluate material and information flow throughout an organization while learning how to apply tools to eliminate waste, create flow and achieve customer value.
As we study the concept and purpose of a value stream map we will discuss the importance of continuous flow and cell design.
You will gain hands-on practical application of this tool by creating value stream maps for different types of organizations. This technique can be applied across any industry; however, this course will highlight the aspects that best support manufacturing-related processes.
