GEOS 001 - Basic Mapping for UAVs
Course Description
Basic Mapping for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), also known as Remotely Piloted Aerial Systems (RPAS), will introduce the learner to the Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) mapping process. The learner will be able to describe the components of a UAS, generate maps to support field operations in ArcGIS Pro, create UAS mission plans using Pix4DCapture, utilize Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) technology to derive ground control points (GCPs), and process imagery using a photogrammetry software package such as Pix4D. Learners will work with existing data and be expected to process data created in field missions.
