LDSH 014 - Working Effectively in a Diverse Workplace

Course Description
The workplace is undergoing profound changes. There has been an impact of new technology, globalization of trade, a shift from a manufacturing to a service economy and organizational restructuring which has included downsizing, a flattening of the organizational structure, corporate merging, and greater emphasis on work teams. There is already a number of immigrants, especially visible minorities, and the language and expectations in the workplace have also changed. Overall, workplace diversity has economic, social, and legal implications which all individuals must be aware of.
