YCMP 041 - Introduction to Baking (Gr. 7-12) Course Description An introduction to the sweet world of professional baking. Designed for beginner bakers, learn baking fundamentals including measuring and scaling, kitchen safety and sanitation, and the science and chemistry behind your favourite treats.
Dress Code Requirements: All campers are required to wear closed-toe shoes and full-length pants in the kitchen. Particpants with long hair should bring hair-ties to tie their hair back.
Allergy Alert: This program includes the preparation of foods containing nuts, fish and seafood. SAIT’s kitchens and bakeries process nuts and other allergens.
- For youth currently in grades 7-12.
- Register using your child’s name.
- Registration for this program closes at 12:00pm (MST) on the Thursday before the program begins. Late registrations will not be accepted.
- SAIT Youth Programs reserves the right to cancel a program due to low registration.
