MGMT 006 - Retail Foundational Skills

Course Description
Retailers want to make a good and lasting impression on their customers and what they do and how they present themselves will determine their success and longevity. This course outlines the foundational skills required to set an appropriate environment for success. Specifically, we will look at the location appearance, store security, inventory management, day to day effective operations and customer loyalty programs. We will relate these materials to your personal experiences as a customer so that you can see why these are foundational requirements. We will start with store appearance as this is where you start as a customer and then we will talk about all the things that can be done within the store environment to attract and retain customers.
