WELD 009 - Metal in Motion

Course Description
A weekend workshop in which each student blacksmith will learn about hammer control at the anvil to make a doorknocker. Gas forge operation and tooling will be covered before we begin our project. Design, layout and forging processes will be taught through discussion and demonstrations. All levels welcome, degrees of technical challenges will be addressed to each student depending on previous experience.

Required Materials
Students are required to have the following safety equipment: Flame retardent clothing - for example, 100% cotton denim. High top leather boots - preferably steel toe. Welding goggles, if you have them.
