WELD 010 - Joinery used in Ironwork


Course Description
Using heat to forge steel, this weekend workshop is focusing on the joinery techniques used in decorative ironwork.  Join us to incorporate these skills and to learn these basic techniques: riveting, collaring, mortise and tenon.  Open to all levels, this class is for those with blacksmithing experience or those wanting to discover something new.

Required Materials
Students are required to have the following safety equipment: Flame retardent clothing - for example, 100% cotton denim. High top leather boots - preferably steel toe. Welding goggles, if you have them.
