This course is perfect for technical functionaries seeking to understand the fundamentals and context of one of the world’s largest oil deposits - the Oil Sands. You will learn about the technical, business, environmental and community aspects of this vast and rapidly growing part of Canada’s oil and gas industry.

This is not meant to be an introductory course; therefore, some knowledge of the basics of oil exploration and production is beneficial. This could be in the form of SAIT Polytechnic’s Petroleum Industry Overview, Oil Sands Overview or industry experience.
