PWEN 232 - First Class Power Engineering Part A


Course Description:
For Alberta, completion of Part A is an equivalent to the minimum education required to write the Government Exams. Completion of Part A & Part B will provide you with up to 12 months’ credit in lieu of the 36 months needed for operating experience in a power plant. 4 Long Answer Final Examinations: 3 hours/each

 

Part A consists of the following essay assignments.

  • Heat & Heat Engines
  • Engineering Mechanics
  • Power Engineering Materials
  • Power Engineering Fuels and Combustion
  • Power Plant Water Supply and Water Treatment
  • Power Plant Construction, Commissioning and Operation
