PWEN 232 - First Class Power Engineering Part A Course Description: For Alberta, completion of Part A is an equivalent to the minimum education required to write the Government Exams. Completion of Part A & Part B will provide you with up to 12 months’ credit in lieu of the 36 months needed for operating experience in a power plant. 4 Long Answer Final Examinations: 3 hours/each
Part A consists of the following essay assignments.
- Heat & Heat Engines
- Engineering Mechanics
- Power Engineering Materials
- Power Engineering Fuels and Combustion
- Power Plant Water Supply and Water Treatment
- Power Plant Construction, Commissioning and Operation
