GEOS 419 - GIS Data Analysis and Output Course Description: This course introduces the learner to spatial analysis and cartographic representation with a focus on processes and techniques used during the data analysis and data output stages of the GIS development cycle. Topics include map design principles, symbolization, data classification, map scale and generalization, typography, colour theory and analytical processes such as spatial queries, spatial joins and map overlays.
