PETR 211 - Petroleum Industry - Introduction Course Description: This course is an excellent overview of the oil and gas industry including upstream, downstream and midstream in Alberta, Canada and around the globe. Lectures cover the history of the petroleum industry including major petroleum regions, global oil production, capacity for growth, Canadian exploration, regulation & compliance and petroleum land administration; transportation and pipelines.
