FDBS 323 - Food and Wine Pairing Course Description: A sommelier introduction to wine appreciation and the characteristics of varietal and blended wine. Students will be introduced to major wine growing regions, types of wine produced and the characteristics used to determine quality food and wine pairings. Beer and liquors are included. Emphasis on how to successfully taste and match wine with food. In depth study of cheese types, production and service are included.
