PWEN 262 - Power Qualifications Lab I

Course Description:
This course will prepare you to write the Alberta Boilers Safety Association (ABSA) 4th Class Power Engineer’s Certificate of Competency (Part A) exam. It includes the topics of materials and welding, piping and valves, basic electricity, basic control and instrumentation, pumps, low-pressure boiler design, high-pressure boiler design, fittings, parts and operation. You will spend a large part of your time in the lab learning the practical applications of the theory covered in lectures.
