GEOL 410 - Petroleum Geology

Course Description:
This course covers basic physical geology, identification of sedimentary rocks, physical processes acting on the earth’s surface (i.e. erosion/deposition), and the concept of geological time. Emphasis will be placed on the characteristics of reservoir rock, types and origin of hydrocarbon traps, and petroleum exploration techniques.
