SCMT 2370 - Procurement I Course Description: Procurement and Contract Management are central to a company’s sustainable development efforts. Purchasing managers need to think strategically about the purchases they make and critically evaluate their purchases in light of the risks and uncertainties of the market place. In Procurement and Contract Management you will address procurement from a strategic perspective as well as at the operational level understanding the relationship between supply chain management and procurement. Topics covered include: procurement process, practices and decisions, procurement and the organization, sourcing, vendor selection, negotiation, contract management, relationship management, and procurement strategy.
