FLDS 255 - Industrial Fluid Systems

This course explores the principles of fluid mechanics as applied to flowing systems in the chemical process industry. Topics include: viscosity, buoyancy, pressure, pump affinity laws and specifications, energy calculations (compressible and incompressible flow) pump power requirements and net positive suction head (NPSH). A major design report on an industrial scale system is completed.
