MATH 266 - Applied Mathematics for Machinists - 1

This course is designed for students who are pursuing a career as a Machinist Technician or similar field. You will learn basic math operations and their application to trades-related scenarios. The course covers whole numbers, decimals, fractions, ratios and proportions, percentages, measurement conversions, and taper calculations. You will also learn the fundamentals of algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and the Pythagorean Theorem to solve problems in the context of mechanical and manufacturing trades.
