BLAW 301 - Legal, Ethical and Security for Digital Organizations Course Description: This course provides students with a basic understanding of the structure of both the Canadian and the Alberta legal systems with respect to privacy, data security and data use. Topics include copyright, intellectual property, contract, and privacy law and their effect on security for business and marketing professionals. The application of the law will be contrasted with ethical guidelines that are enforced on marketing, security and data management practitioners.
