ELEC 302 - Generation and Grid Operations Description This is an introductory course into electric power generation and system operation. It will provide students with an overview of the processes, technologies, economics and environmental issues associated with electricity production from conventional and renewable energy sources; the role of the system operator in the planning and coordinated operation of the bulk supply system, as well as an overview of the Alberta wholesale and retail energy markets.
