THRM 235 - Thermodynamics Description A basic foundation of thermodynamics is provided with an emphasis on the application of thermodynamics to solve practical problems encountered in chemical engineering. Topics include: first and second law of thermodynamics, phase behaviour and thermodynamic properties of pure substances, application of steam tables and Mollier charts. Theoretical concepts are reinforced through related lab activities.
