CIVL 2130 - Mechanical & Electrical Systems Description Mechanical and Electrical Systems introduces a number of building systems including heating, cooling and air conditioning systems, plumbing and fire protection systems, electrical and telecommunication systems, lighting and acoustical systems, conveying systems and renewable energy systems. You will study methodologies for the evaluation and integration of various building systems in order to foster an understanding of the inter-relationships among the design, construction, operation and maintenance processes of buildings, and to develop a total approach to building performance and evaluation. The course will also introduce you to the key components and systems of process plants with focus on the design, construction and operation requirements.
