NMED 256 - Patient Care Description This course describes the current patient care practices and equipment used in the diagnostic imaging department. The learner will be introduced to techniques for performing safe patient transfers, evaluating and managing patient vital signs, recognizing and responding to patient emergencies, and obtaining and interpreting an electrocardiogram. An introduction to pharmacology, methods of pharmaceutical administration, and a variety of tubes, lines, and medical devices a technologist may encounter within the nuclear medicine department will also be presented.
