WLDG 259 - CWB Shielded Metal Arc Welding

Description
This course will assess the functions, responsibilities and accountability of welding inspection and examine the various aspects of inspection that may be encountered by a welding inspector regarding Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW). C.S.A. WI 78.1 (Certification of Welding Inspection Organizations) and C.S.A. WI 78.2 (Certification of Welding Inspectors) will be examined. An inspection report based on the requirements of C.S.A. WI 78.2 will be designed and submitted as the major course project.
