BFIN 356 - Mutual Funds and Securities Description Constructing an appropriate investment portfolio of mutual funds and financial securities depends upon identifying and responding to changing client needs. Topics include the role of the mutual fund representative, knowing your client, the types of financial securities and mutual fund products available, risk and return, creating and evaluating investment portfolios. Concepts are reinforced through a stock game simulation and mutual fund portfolio design and critique. Leads to the Investment Funds in Canada (IFC) credential required to sell mutual funds.
