PRAC 295 - Practicum for AOGP

Description
In this course, students will combine the academic learning acquired over the course of their Accounting Oil and Gas Production (AOGP) certificate program with hands-on experience in industry. Through an unpaid practicum, students will have the opportunity to apply the skills and theory acquired in previous classes and gain exposure to current working conditions and practices in the dynamic energy industry. Additionally, this course will focus on essential competencies of production accountants, including accountability, communication, problem solving, personal leadership, and relationship management. Students are responsible for securing their own practicum placement, which must be approved by the Academic Chair.
