ENVS 359 - Water and Wastewater Treatment Description This is a basic water treatment course with emphasis on water produced for industrial, oil and gas, and municipal waters, as well as waste streams from these industries. The course focuses both on the back ground aquatic chemistry and the relevant aqueous analytical techniques used to monitor our water as well as approaches to modeling and predicting problems arising from produced and waste water. The course includes a survey of problems that occur in Alberta’s waters as well as current solutions to these problems.

Time Guidelines The standard instructional time for this course is 45 hours. Students should budget one hour of study time outside of class time for each hour of instructional time for this course.
